I threw my back out moving my dog.

The morning of the February workshop, I threw my back out moving my 70-pound dog across our bed. To give you perspective, she is a four-year-old chocolate lab.

Spent the next several hours barely able to sit upright, let alone show up live for 90 minutes teaching visibility strategies.

Not exactly the professional image I was going for.

It was a good reminder that life doesn't wait for perfect timing. Practices don't build themselves during the "right" season. And sometimes the most aligned thing you can do is reschedule and show up when you're actually able to be present.
